For optimal, hyper-realistic results that last, pre and post-care instructions must be strongly adhered to. It is also important to remember PMU is LOW maintenance, not NO maintenance. Post-perfecting touch-ups should only be performed with the original tattoo is 50-60% faded to ensure hyper-realistic results and protect your skin’s integrity.
Procedure pre-care
ABSOLUTELY NO CAFFEINE OR ALCOHOL 24-48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Caffeine and alcohol will cause excess bleeding and increase sensitivity. Failure to comply will result in your appointment being canceled/rescheduled. Additional fees will apply.
30 days before: No filler or injections in or around the brow/forehead area.
2 weeks before: Discontinued use of any skincare that encourages exfoliation (Retinol, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C)
1 week before: Do not tan or sun bathe. Irritated and/or sun burnt skin cannot be worked on. Also, refrain from any facial, laser or waxing treatments on your face.
48 hours before: No blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Caffeine, Coffee, Tea, Smoking, Alcohol, Soda, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil, Fish Oil, etc
Menstrual Cycle: Please note you will be sensitive during your cycle due to hormones in the body.
Failure to follow pre-care instructions may affect the outcome of your final results and that there may be a risk of infection or possible scarring if I do not adhere to the said instructions.
IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS BROW TATTOO: You must notify your Brow Riot Artist/Employee upon booking if you have had any previous permanent makeup done (on brows). This will automatically result in an up-charge for corrective work. All clients who require corrective work are required to send photos to their Brow Riot artist for approval before booking. Please note Brow Riot does not offer touch ups for other artists work. Brow Riot will not refund deposits submitted by those who did not seek appointment approval before booking, if brows are not workable and appointment needs to be canceled.
Aftercare
During your appointment, your artist will thoroughly explain all aftercare instructions and answer any questions you may have.
An aftercare kit will be provided with all the essentials needed for happy healing.
Aftercare instructions may be modified by your artist post-procedure to meet your specific needs.
Active surface-level healing takes on average 7-14 days depending on the procedure. However, it will take 6-8 weeks for your cosmetic tattoo to fully heal. Color, shape and other details can and will fluctuate until the end of the 6-8 week period.
