Every color is custom mixed to meet each clients wants and needs. The possibilities are endless.

A tip if you’re indecisive: It is always better to start subtle and build upon your results in your perfecting session. For example, you choose a pinky nude in your initial session. Once healed, you realize you want a more vibrant berry tone. It is easier to go bolder, brighter, more saturated in your perfecting session.

We would recommend looking for inspo pictures, particularly of people with a similar skin tone wearing lip tones you are a fan of. Remember, the same pinky nude can look totally different on a pale complexion vs a darker complexion.

Take a look into your arsenal. What colors do you typically gravitate towards? It’s always a plus to bring your favorite shades with you so we can color match.

As a studio, we do not believe it is a good idea to overline the lips or change the lip’s natural shape dramatically.

Lip skin and face skin heal very differently from each other. During the mapping process, your artist will find the border where your lip skin meets your face skin and make any adjustments to shape/symmetry within tolerances.

For those clients, with scars, cleft palettes, etc. we are more than happy to go outside of this tolerance for restorative purposes if agreed upon during the consultation.

Highly-effective, topical anesthetics are used before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable for the entirety of the procedure.

*Topical Anesthetics used contain Lidocaine and Epinephrine. Please let your artist know of any allergies to these ingredients.

To minimize pain, please follow pre care instructions.

COLD SORE WARNING: If you have ever gotten blisters or cold sores on the mouth and outside the mouth, clients must take their prescribed medication such as Valtrex, 1 week before their appointment, the day of the appointment, and until you are done healing, otherwise, there will be a flare-up.

*Please keep in mind that if you have never had an outbreak, the virus may lay dormant and you may have a flare-up after lip blush. We recommend taking over-the- counter L-Lysine 2 weeks before, the day of, and 2 weeks after your appointment.

ABSOLUTELY NO CAFFEINE OR ALCOHOL 24-48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Caffeine and alcohol will cause excess bleeding and increase sensitivity. Failure to comply will result in your appointment being canceled/rescheduled. Additional fees will apply.

30 days before: No filler or injections in or around the lips, cheeks or chin area.

2 weeks before: Discontinued use of any skincare that encourages exfoliation around the mouth area (Retinol, AHA/BHA)

1 week before: Do not tan or sun bathe. Irritated and/or sun burnt skin cannot be worked on. Also, refrain from any facial, laser or waxing treatments on your face.

48 hours before:

No blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Caffeine, Coffee, Tea, Smoking, Alcohol, Soda, Niacin, Vitamin E, Advil, Fish Oil, etc.

Gently exfoliate and moisturize lips.

Recommendations: To reduce excess swelling we recommend taking Arnica tablets 1-3 days leading up to your appointment and the day of. Drinking pineapple juice the before and of your appointment can also help aid in reducing swelling due to pineapples anti-inflammatory properties.

Menstrual Cycle: Please note you will be sensitive during your cycle due to hormones in the body.

Failure to follow pre-care instructions may affect the outcome of your final results and that there may be a risk of infection or possible scarring if I do not adhere to the said instructions.

IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS LIP TATTOO: You must notify your BROWRIOT! Artist/Employee upon booking if you have had any previous permanent makeup done (on lips). This will automatically result in an up-charge for corrective work. All clients who require corrective work are required to send photos to their BROWRIOT! artist for approval before booking. Please note BROWRIOT! does not offer touch ups for other artists work. BROWRIOT! will not refund deposits submitted by those who did not seek appointment approval before booking, if brows are not workable and appointment needs to be canceled.

Please review all TATTOO CARE instructions prior to booking.

During your appointment, your artist will thoroughly explain all aftercare instructions and answer any questions you may have. An aftercare kit will also be provided.

Active surface level healing takes on average 5-7 days. However, it will take 6-8 weeks for your lips to fully heal. Color, shape and saturation can and will fluctuate until the end of the 6-8 week period.

Instructions:

Keep lips clean by blotting with sterile water wipes provided until healed.

Keep lips moisturized at all times during active healing. We recommend getting a tube of Aquaphor Lip Repair.

Things to avoid:

Do not use any other products on the lips besides the ointments recommended or provided to you in your post care kit.

Do not scratch, pick, or rub treated area.

Do not expose the area to the sun or tanning beds.

Do not apply makeup to the treated area until fully healed.

Avoid swimming for 7 days.

Avoid foods that require biting into (such as pizza, sandwiches, hamburgers, etc) and avoid spicy and salty foods for 7 days.

Avoid kissing and oral sex for 7 days.

Avoid smoking or vaping of any kind.

Avoid facial treatments, waxing, and using any form of bleach.

Avoid any abrasive products, rough towels or similar.

Should an infection or cold sore outbreak occur, seek medical attention immediately.
